Downtown Windsor Farmers Market OPENING!

Downtown Windsor Farmers Market OPENING!

The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market opens this Saturday, June 6, at 44 University Avenue East. The market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until October 6. Special events are held the second Saturday of each month.

Opening day will welcome over 20 vendors selling a variety of goods including fruits and vegetables, herbs, plants, fish, beef, handmade soap, art, spiced nuts, bread, cookies, pies and more. Market staples like The Fruit Wagon and Dockside Fisheries are returning, along with a few new farmers like DiPietro Farms and Bouchard Gardens.

The market will open at 8 a.m. with vendors, a meet-and-greet with the Border City Brawlers (roller derby team), and free goody bags for the first 40 visitors. Live entertainment/buskers starts at 9 a.m. and runs until the 1 p.m. close.

Shoppers can take advantage of free street parking until 9 a.m., as well as free one-hour parking in the parking garage across the road on Chatham Street.
