DOWNTOWN TRANSPORTATION STRATEGY Notice of Public Information Centre

The Study
The City of Windsor has initiated a study to develop a sustainable strategy for a transportation system
that supports Council’s Strategic Vision for a vibrant and inviting Downtown Windsor focusing on place
making and supporting active transportation choices, taking into account existing and planned land uses
The goal of this study is to repurpose the existing public right-of-way to optimize space for streetscaping,
utilities and all users (vehicles, transit, bicycles and pedestrians) to achieve a balanced transportation
network for people that encourages non-motorized uses and establishes vibrant and inviting public
spaces.

Public Information Centre
The public is invited to review and comment on
the development of the Downtown Transportation
Strategy during a Public Information Centre (PIC).
This PIC will consist of an informal drop-in centre
with display boards to obtain public input on the
Development and Evaluation of Alternatives.
Representatives from the City and the Consultant
